Allegiant, by Veronica Roth

Synopsis
The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered—fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she’s known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories.
But Tris’s new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature—and of herself—while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice, and love.
Told from a riveting dual perspective, Allegiant, by #1 New York Times best-selling author Veronica Roth, brings the Divergent series to a powerful conclusion while revealing the secrets of the dystopian world that has captivated millions of readers in Divergent and Insurgent.

This is the end. This book means to me both the end of a window of thought I have developed and a new beggining for Tri´s world. Big Divergent fans got astonished as they read the conclusion of this thrilling dystopian series. There´s a lot of death reaching  the dearest ones. There´s new information, a whole world discovered beyond the city limits. Beyond the reader´s limits.
After the truth about the city was revealed in the end of Insurgent, Allegiant brings a new reality to be explored. Tris and friends go outside the city just so they can understand the truth and the existence of their city - lasted found out as an experiment.
Allegiant isn´t as close to an action book as Insurgent is. It explores ideologies, genetics, mind, technology and human behavior. There are those who say it hasn´t achieved their expectations in the matter of action, saying it´s too much drama. I guess what they haven´t noticed is that there was so much speed already, seeking for a truth they put their beliefs on. And when you acknowledge a revelation, you´ve got to spend some time until it settles in your mind. It may not be as easy as it seems to realize the life you had and the world you gave everything for wasn´t real, or wasn´t for real.
I was surprised and glad to have the chance to see Tris´s and Tobias´s realtionship grow more mature each page I got to turn. Even thoug they were young, they went through a lot together, and that shows to me that you grow emotionally mature when you get to experience both sides of life with the one you love - the good and the bad. Those moments shape who you are and who you are together.
Roth leaves the reader with an astonishing end, but satisfying. I was afraid that the peace or maybe part of it wouldn´t be achieved once these book series perceives the deep humam nature, and for me humanity wouldn´t be able to reach complete peace, since one is always looking forward to be better than the neighboor. Partial piece is enough for now.
I could list here how many things I learned through this reading, but I think it all consists in how I view myself and mankind. It´ll be different from now on. My fears now belong to my fear landscape and nowhere else. Selflessness became the true bravery. True love is stronger than it haven´t been before.
     Be brave.

Quotes: "People always organize into groups. That´s a fact of our existence."
"A system that relies on a group of uneducated people to do its dirty work without giving them a way to rise is hardly fair."
"Our ability to know about ourselves and the world is what makes us human."
"You don´t believe things because they make your life better, you believe them because they´re true."
"When you control information, or manipulate it, you don´t need force to keep people under your thumb. They stay there willingly."
"And I know, without being told, that´s what love does, when it´s right - it makes you more than you were, more than you thought you could be."
"There are so many ways to be brave in this world. Sometimes bravey involves laying down your life for something bigger than yourself, or for someone else. Sometimes it involves giving up everything you have ever known, or everyone you have ever loved, for the sake of something greater."
"Since I was young, I have always known this: Life damages us, every one. We can´t escape that damage."
